Okay, So this Motivational Moment is late... I hope you didn't need too much motivation this morning! I trust that all of you had a great weekend and didn't really need any extra Tender Love and Care this morning. I really would like to keep going with my motivational Monday posts though, because quite a few people have let me know that it cheers them up and reminds them of their inner strength, so I will continue to post some nice motivational thoughts on Mondays ---be it morning, noon, or night, to keep everyone feeling spiritually uplifted.
I wanted to give you all an update on my Sponsoring a child as a blog idea. Last month I was able to raise a little over $30 thanks to all who shopped those adsense ads and visited the site each day. $30 is exactly what we need to bring in each month in order to sponsor a child. This month has been slow---everyone is on vacation and enjoying their summer sunny days (and rainy days) BUT Thank You Jesus for all of my healthy happy readers who can enjoy their days! I am so glad to have so many new readers signed up and subscribing to becausemomsaidso.com. I thank each of you for joining my site and hope that you will keep coming back. Many of you may not know that I want to sponsor a child through World Vision as a blog community, it is something I am working toward. Given the slow summer numbers though, I am thinking that I may need to put a hold on the decision to take on a child as a blog for a few months until I can make sure that I can truly commit the blog money to it. I still want to sponsor a child together (sounds like we are all committing to each other doesn't it?) but I don't want to take something on that I can't maintain. I made a promise to God when I won the blog that I would make a difference with it though, and my heart is still set on the sponsorship. I know that God is going to send more readers this way and that promise will be made a reality---I KNOW IT! God Is GREAT and Through him all things are possible. SO, stay tuned for more bulletins on the becausemomsaidso.com sponsorship. IT WILL BE HAPPENING! Together we will change a life.
As I consider my decision to sponsor a child and the fact that sometimes it seems like I won't be able to make it happen, I stop myself in my tracks and I think about Joyce Meyer (my favorite gal as you know!) and her book: New Day, New You, 366 Devotions for Enjoying Everyday Life. My Mom bought the book for me last summer while I was dealing with some not so happy times and I found great comfort in it. I had since put it away, but I pulled it out again today to help me motivate you! Well, I gotta say... I motivated myself. =) God doesn't give up on me, so why am I doubting whether he would give up on something for the greater good. God always clears the road of obstacles for people who want to walk with him, and those obstacles that remain, he helps us get over them in time. Afterall, without those obstacles, we tend to stop relying on him and we take things for granted. Below is the passage that Joyce Meyer wrote as her January 2nd devotion which I found helpful:
God wants to hear us say, "Lord, I don't know how You're going to do this. I don't care how You do it. I know it's going to be right. I trust all my circumstances to You. My times are in Your hands. Trusting You is my first priority in life." --Joyce Meyer
I just love her. She inspires me to be a better WOMAN. I hope you can gain some persepctive through her words too, that is why I share them. I am not a preacher, nor do I sell out stadiums, but I do know that God provides. Some of you might be feeling blue because money is tight, or the kids are driving you crazy, maybe your spouse isn't as perfect as you'd like, perhaps you are going through some personal struggles, shoot--maybe you would just like to take a shower but can't because the kids are crying for mommy outside the bathroom door! (CAN I GET AN AMEN???) Whatever it is, dig deep, dig really deep, find that strength inside that you know you have and say: Thank you Jesus, I may not have it all, but I have more than many. Try to list a few things that you are thankful for--The fact that you have dirty dishes means you ate well tonight, the kids jumping around is a witness to their great health. Whatever you can find to be a blessing---thank God for it and know that more blessings are coming!
Hope this helps someone. =)
God Bless, And by all means GET OUT THERE AND ENJOY THE SUNNY DAYS! There will be lots of days for computer friends once winter comes our way!
