Family Budgets Penny Pinching Not Necessary

With 2007 well underway, I’ve really been thinking about the family budget this year.

It’s time to start preparing for our future financially. Hubby and I will want to retire someday (although I enjoy my work, I don’t want to do it forever) and with the boys getting older we really need to start focusing on saving for their education.

At the same time, I don’t want to have to give up everything just to do so. We moms deserve a splurge every now and again. Did I mention that I bought a new car last week? Hey, I never said I was the one who handled finances in my household. hee hee

But seriously, I know we need to plan ahead and that’s why we’ve created a family budget this year. We’ve found ways to stick to the budget, but not without sacrificing the treats we deserve for the hard work we do.

A family budget is essential if you want to prepare for your family’s future. As long as we have a solid plan, we will be able to set aside money for emergencies and a nest egg for retirement, but without having to chain our wallets shut.

Here is a step by step guide to help you create and stick to your family budget here
