Potty Training... How Old Should They Be?

When I potty trained my two eldest kids it was so easy. Both were fully trained within one week and before they turned 2 1/2. My youngest will be 3 at the end of May and he just hasn't shown any interest.

We tried a few times but nothing. His teacher at preschool said to me on Friday that he asked her where the toilet was so she took him but he didn't go. So she said I should bring him in today in big boy underpants, so I did but thinking, this isn't going to work. I also packed like three extra set of clothes.

When I picked him up I immediately looked at his clothes expecting him to be in different clothes than in the morning, but nope, same clothes. His teacher said he went three times on his own without any problems.

I was really surprised... he hasn't done that for me at home and I've tried! He's been home for a few hours now and still no accidents. So in a strange sort of way this has actually turned out to be easier than with the other two.... I think my little guy just likes to do things on his own terms and now he's finally happy to do it :)
