We're Up in Smoke
The smoke wasn't bad yesterday, so I woke up thinking that we could go for a walk today. I looked out the window and looked like it was foggy...but it wasn't. It was smokey. I told Malcolm that we couldn't go out because it could hurt our throat and lungs...but I should have known better.
Malcolm is so dramatic. He was afraid to walk to the car because "it will hurt our lungs". He said, "Mommy, you can't wear sandals or it will hurt your lungs." He was very concerned, so I told him my lungs were in my chest and we were wearing jackets to protect ourselves. I finally assured him and we got in the car.
Well, we're driving along to get hair cuts (that's another story...maybe I'll share that one tomorrow) and Malcolm sees a man riding his bike. He says, "Mommy, that man is going to die." I said, "He won't die Malcolm. He might get a sore throat, but he's not going to die."
So he asks me, "He won't die because he's wearing a jacket to protect his lungs?"
I didn't know what else to say but, "Yes."
Oh boy...I kind of messed that one up.

Sometimes as Moms, we have to do what we have to do LOL! Malcolm sounds like my Julien (4 1/2- maybe it's a developmental phase?) The worrier who is constantly asking "Will this make me die?".
